Cyprys is the third largest island in the eastern Mediterranean and is situated south of Turkey. The climate is mediterranean. Here Europe meets Asia and Africa in an exciting mix. Since Turkey's invasion in 1974 the island is divided by the so called "green line" between Turkish Cypriots (north Cyprus) and Greek Cypriots (south Cyprus). The capital of Nicosia is also divided.
Agia Napa om the islands east side has become the favourite of the party lovers where the centre is filled with nightclubs and restaurants. Cyprus drive on the lefthand side of the road, a remnand from the time the Brittish ruled.
According to legend Aphrodite was born here, the goddess of love, lust and beauty.
