Cork is a city in southern Ireland and the second largest in the country. The river Lee flows through the city. The climate in Cork is like in the rest of Ireland - a quite even temperature through the year, averaging from 3 to 20 degrees, often foggy, but otherwise one of the sunniest cities in Ireland. Cork has many sights and historical buidlings. Music, theatre, dance and film play an important part in city life, with annual festivals. The gay scene is quite small, but with some really nice venues to visit.
