At the foot of the Sierra Nevada and between the three rivers, Beiro, Darro and Genil, 738 meters above sea level lies the Spanish city of Granada. The city has a history blending the three great religions of Islam, Judaism and Christianity, which have resulted in wars, bloodbaths and general upheavals. From the Moorish period which lasted from the 700s to 1492 you will find Alhambra Castle. The city and the fort are both ‘must-see’ places to visit during one’s lifetime.
