Hua Hin lies 200 kilometers south of Thailand’s capital, Bangkok, in the Prachuab Khan region of Siambukt on the west coast. Hua Hin is popular with Thailand’s wealthy and the King’s summer palace was built here in the 1920s. Hua Hin is a calm, beautiful place and, due to the King’s presence here, crime is very low in the summer. Despite the peace there is a lively bar and nightclub scene, very mixed.
