Faro is the largest city in Algarve in Portugal. The city has an international airport, a university (The Algarve University), a port and a marina. Faro also has the Ria Formosa lagune, a natural reserve of more then 170 square kilometres and a place for hundreds of types of birds, during spring and winter. The city is situated 7 kilometres from the sea. The warm climate, the beaches and the sun, makes the district of Faro a popular torist destination. The gay beach is by Quinta do Lago, where you can find out where to go later in the evening.
