Discover Cannes, with the old harbour, La Croisette, designer boutiques and chic beaches. Cannes is alive all year around, much because of its status as an international conference and festival city, and because there are many good restaurants and hotels. The city is also one of the most exclusive places to live along the French Riviera. Along the famous beach boulevard, La Croisette, you find the famous luxury hotels Majestic, Carlton Inter-Continental and Martinez, as well as the less beautiful festival palace. A few blocks away, you find shopping street Rue d'Antibes. Festival de Cannes, the world famous film festival, is since 1946 the highlight of the year in this small city. Glamorous Cannes attracts all sorts of people, and the gays go to mixed glamorous places and to the gay bars in the old town.
