Sofia is one of the greenest capitals in Europe with many beautiful parks and exciting sights. The city offers many historical memorials from Roman times through to Soviet times. It has a lively cultural and entertainment scene with mighty mountains Plana Zavala in view. After World War II the city was in ruins, but the entire centre has been restored. The Vitosha Boulevard is the main street. The city’s most popular place of interest is the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, a fascinating place for a service.
