11:15 - 13:00 Queer tattooing: What does it mean?
Welcome to a lecture and conversation about Queer tattooing at Malmö Pride! Nikki Sullivan will give a live online lecture from Australia, followed by a conversation between Pia Laskar and Sara Swanson on searching for and writing queer history.
What does it mean to find the words ‘queerʼ and ‘tattoo(ing)ʼ conjoined? Is this a phrase that is used simply to denote the fact that particular artists, studios, patrons, or designs are queer? Or does it mean that tattoos and tattooing are somehow inherently queer, or, have become so as of late? What has the relationship between queer identity and/or practice and tattoos and tattooing been historically and in specific geographic contexts? How have such identities and practices intersected with other forms of body modification and expressions of style? Is queer tattooing political, aesthetic, performative, ethical, reclamatory, consumerist, spiritual, a mode of belonging?
Who gets to decide, and how? Nikki Sullivans presentation will explore these and other questions that the bringing together of our two wor(l)ds invokes.
The program is a collaboration between StaDemonia Tattoo Stockholm and Malmö Pride and part of our project about Queer Tattooing where we arrange conversations about art, tattooing, and invite lgtbqi+ artists as guest tattooers and sharing experiences.

13:15 - 15:45 Short Film and talk: If We Had the Power
“If We Had the Power ” is a collection of campaign films made by Newcomers Youth. The films collectively reveal the abuse of power on young LGBTQIA+ asylum seekers in Sweden by the government and government agencies regulating migration laws and policies.
The aim of the campaign is to address the mistrust and mistreatment of young LGBTQIA+ asylum seekers in Sweden who are subjected to systematic racism and homo-, bi-, and transphobia. The campaign offers a way forward by presenting recommendations made by LGBTQIA+ asylum-seeking youth to politicians, decision-makers, and other relevant actors within the asylum and migration process in Sweden.
The campaign films are real-life stories and are told by LGBTQIA+ youth who are or have been in an asylum process.

15 - 16 Play practices: Reshuffling bodily relations
This is a performance duet that reshuffles traditional ideas of body and gender capabilities using techniques of partner acrobatics, contact improvisation and physical theatre. We are two queer women who use humor, creativity and physicality to engage with the audience on topics of gender, body empowerment and connection. We are interested in support and what it means to build comfort and connection with each others’ bodies with different kinds of touch and play. What if I need to slap instead of hug? What if I need to rest my head on your lap? Can we bite each other as well as caress? Can I climb on you? Can you climb on me? Can we collapse in a heap and just be?
