Tom of Finland is the artist name of Finnish Touko Laaksonen (1920, Kaarina – 1991, Helsinki). He signed his erotic work “Tom”, and when his drawings were first published in 1957, the now world-famous “Tom of Finland” was born. He is known for his homoerotic art and for his influence on modern day culture. Over the course of four decades, he produced nearly 3,500 drawings and paintings, mostly featuring men. This exhibition is the first to focus on Tom’s photographs, in combination with his drawings, showing his artistic process. The Exhibition is produced by Fotografiska in collaboration with Tom of Finland Foundation on the occasion of the artist's birth 100 years ago
