Seta – LGBTI Rights in Finland is organizing a demonstration next Tuesday 25th of April. We will gather in front of Russian Embassy at Tehtaankatu 1D at 5 pm.

Russian newspapers and human rights groups reported a few weeks ago that more than 100 gay and bisexual men have been detained in unofficial prisons, beaten and tortured in Chechnya, Russia. Three out of 20 murders have been already been verified.

The Chechen government have denied that any abuse or imprisoning of gay people have happened, insisting that “you can’t detain and harass someone who doesn’t exist in the republic”.

Come and demand with us the Russian Federation to publicly condemn persecuting of LGBT people in Chechnya by the authorities and stop all violence as soon as possbile.
