It's Swing Time at Burlsqueer Kabaretkvall! Come and enjoy our particular brand of 1930s and 1940s inspired beats played for us by our very specialist DJ. So put on your dancing shoes for an early evening devoted to double bass, saxaphone and big band boogeying. After you burn up the floor, you are welcome to enjoy the sights and sounds of our performers who will dazzle and delight with more hip movements to fast fabulous music. And our grande finale is a leap into the future with our time travelling DJ providing the sounds of the present generation to swing your partners away til the early hours.
Whether you are swinging your thing on the dance floor or enjoying the ambience at the bar, we love it if you dress for the occasion. Are you a determined swing dancer in shirt, tie and braces, or fabulous flying dresses? Or perhaps you are in service uniform from a period of pre, post war - coming off duty to enjoy the new dance craze of the day? Or maybe you are 1930s cabaret starlet in bowler hat and sparkling shorts? As always, there is no dress code though, so come as you are, or as you want to be! And it is all completely FREE entry!
Burlesqueer Kabaretkväll is an alternative cabaret club with an open stage for the brand new performer right up to the well-established artist to share their new work with us. Our nights have a decidedly queer kick to them, but everyone is welcome so long as they respect everyone else’s right to be in the space. And we do so love it if you would dress up for the occasion but there is no dress code! And as always the club is absolutely FREE entry all night long.
