Bonn, officially Bundesstadt Bonn, is situated in southern North Rhine-Westphalia, on both sides of river Rhine, and is one of the oldest cities in Germany. After World War II Bonn became the capital of West Germany, and the city grew fast. Here are a number of prominent museums. This is where composer Ludwig van Beethoven was born. Bonn is a popular university city and thanks to that it also has a rich nightlife, with many bars and clubs.
