From Paris to Stockholm! Habibi – the Revolutions of Love is a new exhibition where contemporary artists from the Arab world, Iran and Afghanistan challenge gender norms and explore relationships to the body and the public space.
The critically acclaimed exhibition, curated by Institut du monde arabe in Paris, at the Museum of Mediterranean and Near Eastern Antiquities in Stockholm.
Through tender, intimate, and political works, thirteen artists both affirm and question themselves in a world where the LGBTQIA+ community is not always accepted. As gender identities and stories of exile become visible, alternative ways of living in more inclusive societies emerge.
