Solna is a district just outside of Stockholm, where you will find Friends Arena and Mall of Scandinavia, the legendary sports club AIK, as well as historically important park Haga with Haga Castle. By the Haga gates Swedish LGBT organisation RFSL was formed 21 October 1950. The Karolinska University Hospital is located in Solna, as is the main office of Scandinavian Airlines. A visit to Solna should include, apart from Haga, a visit to the Ulriksdal Palace, Confidencen, the palace theatre, the Olle Olsson house with art hall and the Gamla Filmstaden (old film town). Eating in Stallmästaregården is recommended, or in Ulriksdals Wärdshus. In the city district of Frösunda there is a newly built area with many shops and restaurants. Also visit beautiful Norra begravningsplatsen (North Cemetery) with the graves of Ingrid Bergman, Isaac Grünewald, gay film maker Mauritz Stiller and author August Strindberg.
