Birmingham is a city in West Midlands, England, UK. The city is, after London, the largest city in the UK. Its inhabitants are often called "Brummies", because the dialect sounds a bit negative. The city has also been called the most boring city in the world. Birmingham has more kilometres of canals than Venice and is the canal of the British canal system. This is where Cadbury's large chocolate factory is located and also where car brands Rover and MG were previously manufactured. Birmingham is known for its "curries" or "baltis", i.e. restaurants that serve food typical for India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Birmingham has three universities and the gay/LGBT scene is lively.
