Mykonos is an island created by God for the humans. At least that is how its tourism authority describes it, and it sounds probable!
Situated in the Aegean Sea it is one of the islands in the Cyclades and its history stretches as far back as 1100 B.C. This is where Zeus fought the giants and the island gets its name from Apollo’s grandson Mykonos. The presence of the Hellenistic history is felt all over the island.
Present day Mykonos is to many known for its tourist and that the island welcomes gay tourists to beach and sun, as well as to a hectic nightlife.
