Miami Beach is a city in the metropolitan area of Florida's Miami-Dade County. As the name reveals, this is a city by the beach. The area is packed with partying tourists, not the least gay tourists. Its Art Deco area is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
Apart from the gay population, Miami Beach is known for its Spanish speaking community and a large Jewish population. The Spanish speaking are roughly half of the population in Miami Beach.
