Worthy and elegant Verona, by river Adige, is one of the most beautiful cities in northern Italy, and possibly most famous for being the place where Shakespeare’s play ”Romeo and Juliet” is set. Casa di Giulietta is the house where Juliet is said to have lived and where Romeo climbed up to the balcony. Verona is an ancient city with buildings both from the Middle Ages and Roman times. Here, you are also close to several wine districts; Amarone, Valpolicella and Bardolino are produced in the area around Verona. The centre of the city is the large piazza Bra, with the town hall and the large 2000 year old Roman arena, where the opera festivals are held during the summer, attracting many gays from all over the world.
