Växjö is one of the starting points for a trip around the Kingdom of Crystal. Before that, you’re wise to visit Småland’s museum to learn more about glass art. Once there, you can also visit the Emigrant’s House and learn more about the wave of emigrants that left Sweden for America. If you have Swedish emigrant ancestry you can also get help to find past relatives that moved.
Don’t forget to visit the cathedral where Bertil Vallien’s altar sculpture in glass is located since 2002, one of the many masterpieces by this glass artist.
